ThermalStats CLI 2.4: your leaderboard place and XP, right after the test
Version 2.4 shows where your PC lands on its model's leaderboard as soon as a result is submitted, plus the XP and badges it earned, and adds a Ranked run preset. Also new: side quests, monthly community goals and an optional monthly recap email.
ThermalStats 2.4 brings the leaderboards into the app. Download it from the Run Test page. If you already have ThermalStats 2, download it again to get the update.
Your place, as soon as the test ends
After a result is submitted, ThermalStats now tells you where that PC stands on its model's leaderboard, for example: This PC is #4 of 31 on the AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D leaderboard. If the run isn't ranked, it says why and what to change next time: test for 2 minutes or more, let temperatures settle, and keep the load at full use.
XP and badges in the app
If you've linked the PC to your account, the results screen also shows the XP the run earned, your total, your level and any badge it unlocked. Everything is also on your Progress page.
New preset: Ranked run
Choose Ranked run (5 min) under Duration. It runs for 5 minutes and asks for the room temperature and your cooler model (or laptop model) before it starts. Five minutes lets temperatures fully settle, so the result ranks reliably, and with the room temperature and cooler it counts as a full report, which earns the most XP.
Why the room temperature? A warmer room explains a few degrees on its own, so results that include it compare more fairly. A thermostat reading is close enough.
Also new on the website
- Side quests. Change one thing, re-test, and prove it worked. Your Progress page lists six: new thermal paste, a dust clean-out, an undervolt, better airflow, a cooler upgrade and a laptop stand, each with a guide. Each quest earns its badge when a load temperature drops by 2 °C or more.
- Monthly community goals. One shared target a month, shown on the leaderboards. October's is 700 ranked results; November's is 150 full reports. Everyone who saved a result toward a goal that's reached gets the Team Player badge.
- Monthly recap email. An optional email early each month with your runs, XP, badges, best leaderboard spot and how the community goal went. It's off until you turn it on under Settings → Emails, and every email has a one-click unsubscribe link.
